On 5 August 1990, Czech poet Ivan Blatný died in Colchester, UK, aged 71. He was one of the most notable Czech poets of the 20th century. A shy and sensitive artist with great imagination, sometimes dubbed Czech Rimbaud.
On 11 November, six years ago, we went to the Tower of London to see the art installation ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’ which commemorated the centenary of the outbreak of the WWI.
